Tragedy struck suddenly in Gujarat on January 26, 2001.  In a few moments' time, the lives of hundreds of thousands of Gujaratis were changed forever.  Kindle Life, Inc. responded immediately following the earthquake by sending ten experts during post-earthquake recovery.  Kindle Life, Inc. sponsored a team of ten individuals of "American Rescue Team International" to assist in Bhuj, India.

Kindle Life has been fortunate in recruiting highly expert professionals to volunteer their time in preparing  state-of-the-art curriculum and training materials.  We have also recruited experts licensed in the field to donate their time in India to present this material for seminars at various locations all over India.  They are participating in this gigantic effort without compensation, donating up to three weeks of their time to assist people and professionals of India.

The first team of experts have given seminars at six cities in India primarily to Indian professionals focusing on the design of earthquake-resistant buildings in the state of Gujarat.  Encouraged by the enormous support to the first round of seminars, preparations are going on to send the second team in the near future.

Kindle Life is hoping to create an affiliation between engineers in India and California to work on enhancing standards in India and to achieve long-term goals with emphasis on the economic realities of India.
